Our premium tea is a herbal infusion, not to be mistaken with green or black teas, and naturally free of caffeine and theine, making it an ideal beverage to enjoy by adults and children, whether it is served hot or cold.

About Kroon

Kroon is a French brand that sells Rooibos, which is grown in the Cedarburg Region of the Northern Cape in South Africa.  Sometimes incorrectly known as Red Tea, Rooibos has been cultivated and appreciated for hundreds of years in Southern Africa, and is recognized all over the world.  And now, the exclusive Kroon Rooibos Tea is available in Canada.

First taken to France by Jeffrey Perkins, a shareholder in the French Company who saw an opportunity to introduce Kroon to France, we here in Canada in turn saw an opportunity to bring this premium South African product to Canada. 

Kroon Tea Canada Inc has 4 Directors and Shareholders who bring a variety of skills and experience together to sell and distribute this product throughout Canada, with an eye to expanding throughout North America.

Protected Designation of Origin

In 1992, the European Union established the protected designation of origin (PDO) quality standard to help protect consumers. This designation ensures that products are wholly produced, processed, and developed in a particular geographical area using the recognized expertise of the local producers. Rooibos was awarded it's PDO in 2021, and is the first product from Africa to receive the PDO designation.
